Hi, I'm Liz Brown.
I’m a clinically trained social worker with a focus on grief and loss. When my father-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, I came face to face with something I had not fully understood until I was living it.
The emotional side of dementia is its own kind of loss.
The grief is ongoing
The uncertainty is constant
And many families feel alone in experiences they do not know how to explain
That is why I created Connection Hour.
It is a place for the real parts of this journey. The hard parts. The parts that deserve support too.
Come as you are. I'll be here every Tuesday.
